The Poppy Appeal

We'd like to take this time to highlight the importance of the Poppy Appeal and remembering those who have served our country. It is a cause which is incredibly important and one we're proud to have supported for a number of years.

As stated on the Royal British Legion website, " The Royal British Legion is asking the nation to Rethink Remembrance by recognising the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces community, past and present.

By wearing a poppy, you aren’t just remembering the fallen: you’re supporting a new generation of veterans and Service personnel that need our support."

Founding Director Richard Sheppard commented, "The 11th November is a day close to all our hearts and we are proud to support The Poppy Appeal and remember those who have served our country, and those who have lost their lives."

To make your own donation to the Poppy Appeal please head here
Thank you.

Here's another excellent grant funding opportunity for schools catering for pupils with additional needs and disabilities.

The Toy Trust

Founded by the BTHA, the Toy Trust- the industry’s charity- exists to raise money predominantly from the toy industry, its suppliers and friends; and distribute the money raised to organisations helping disadvantaged and disabled children within the UK and abroad.

The main functions of the Toy Trust:

  • Co-ordinates and organises various fundraising activities for its members
  • Makes donations only to charities for children
  • Provides emergency aid in any crisis involving children

Money raised through fundraising events and other initiatives is distributed by the Toy Trust committee that meets five or six times each year to allocate grants to children’s causes in need of support. All projects and charities, whether local, national or international, will receive consideration from the committee.

With the help of the many supporters of the trust, from across the entire industry, over £4 million has been raised since its inception.

Toy Trust funds help disadvantaged children and their families to:

  • Alleviate suffering
  • Support children through awful experiences
  • Encourage achievement through adversity
  • Purchase vital equipment
  • Provide care
  • Bolster existing initiatives
  • Initiate brand new projects
  • Satisfy basic needs
