Jacob Rees-Mogg visits innovative local businesses.

The Soltech IT leadership team were recently visited by Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP for North East Somerset. Mr Rees-Mogg is currently popping in to successful rural businesses, to learn more about the individual businesses and the challenges each face. He was interested in seeing how one of his constituent businesses was being innovative and had heard about Soltech IT winning national service and innovation awards.

We discussed with him our educational services, highlighting our grant-funding, our £1000’s of school donations and curriculum resources boxes and our work with local schools, as well as our work with SME’s both locally and around the UK.

We talked a lot about the challenges of GDPR and our views that more commercial office space should be available for businesses in rural areas.

We were very glad to be able to give an insight into our work as a successful, rural business.
